1 - Fixes and Changes in
5.9
LogiQ 5.9 is a Service Pack. It is a minor release which
only affects a few modules. The current system must be at 5.8.6
to install this service pack.
To describe the features and fixes included in this Service
Pack the following notation is used.

Courses Add Course wizard was displaying multiple classes on the same day
if there were multiple locations linked to the Course Type. This has been
fixed.

Courses Program was crashing when trying enroll a customer whose source
value did not match one of the allowable choices. Now source can be anything.
|
|
Customer Issue when calculating refund amounts for holds. Occasionally a negative amount
was being calculated.

|
Courses 'Generate Students Report' on Schedule tab was producing a blank report. This has been fixed.

New
Bookings When displaying the results of a customer search
the sort order is now surname/firstname. Prior to this change it
was surname only.

New
System Navigator Add a new system option to make checking
for reorder levels for stock items optional.

New
Pay Courses by Direct Debit The ability to pay for
courses by direct debit has been added. You can now create
one only course type DD payment plan for each course type.
When an enrollment is made to a course with a payment plan
you may choose to use it. Enrollements made using the
payplan will be displayed with the Direct Debit symbol
in Courses. The customer module has been changed. The direct
debit button has been moved off the membership tab and
into the main screen. It now displayes all direct debits.
There is a new system option to disable Course Type DD's
if they are not required.

Program
Courses Day of the week is now displayed when selecting
classes to book.

TPOS
Courses Two new checkboxes added to the Course Copy wizard
to enable selection/deselection of all courses and enrollees.

2 - Installation

to obtain upgrade files and assistance for carrying out
upgrades.
During
an upgrade the following steps might be taken (with the
assistance of Qvisual Support Staff):
Perform a full back up of the
live database.
Create a new TEST database
Test the upgrade on the TEST
database
Upgrade the LIVE database
Upgrade the client workstations
3 - Uninstalling
Click Start, and then click
Control Panel.
Click Add or Remove Programs.
Scroll down to "LogiQ 5.9", or some
other old version, click on it, and then click Change/Remove.
